My tenant didn’t want me entering the property to show the space.
But the lease says the landlord can enter — at reasonable hours and for reasonable purposes.
That includes inspections, repairs, and reletting.
Two lessons:
• If you don't own the property, the landlord still sets the rules.
• Never assume your rights — read your lease.
